Welcome to The Barn Green End; overlooking the Esk Valley, between Goathland and Grosmont in the North York Moors National Park.
We are a family- run business offering a unique place to stay for small groups. We are popular with extended family groups wanting to stay with grand parents, or a group of friends happy to share the space. We welcome one well behaved dog.
The Barn is a lovingly renovated and modernised, traditional farm building, within our farmstead. The atmoshere is peaceful and the rooms are bright and spacious throughout. We know guests will love the uninterrupted views across the Esk valley, whether glimpsing a Barn Owl or watching the sunsets and enjoying the dark skies.
Enjoy easy access to the popular coastal town of Whitby, the North Yorkshire Steam Railway and the beautiful moorland landscapes.
The Barn is underfloor heated throughout and all rooms are finished to a high standard with modern facilities. It is divided up into 3 main spaces all on one level; the large living and dining area includes an extendable farmhouse table and a well equipped kitchen. The two en-suite bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements and work as well for a single guest as they do for 3 guests.

Bedroom one has a large en suite bathroom with walk in shower. It has 1 king and 2 single beds.
Bedroom two has a large en suite bathroom with a walk in shower and has one king, one single and one bunk bed.

A great location
The Barn is located close to the villages of Grosmont and Goathland, both have pubs and cafes and a general store and have stations for the heritage North York Moors Steam Railway. Guests enjoy walking straight from the Barn onto the huge choice of footpaths.
We are only 9 miles (20 minutes drive) from Whitby.
